Paid services aren't upfront about what they cost until you're already on the phone with them. Here's the actual difference.

Our story
I started researching college recruiting for my daughter and was honestly blown away by how much there is to know ahead of time — eligibility rules, deadlines, what coaches actually want to see — and the costs are outrageous once you factor in camps, showcases, and paid recruiting services on top of it all. And most kids aren't five-star recruits with coaches lining up to call — they're in sports and situations where nobody's going to do this work for you, so you end up doing it yourself either way. That takes real grit — most families already have it, they just need better tools for it. I tried keeping it organized in spreadsheets and email, which fell apart fast, and even asking AI tools for help just got me a different answer every time. So I built GritRecruit to be the one place that keeps it all straight — for free.

Yes. The free plan includes 1 athlete profile, up to 2 target schools and 3 film clips per athlete, the full eligibility checklist, a public profile page and PDF, unlimited outreach logging and email templates, and the recruiting timeline and Guide.
No. The templates are filled in with your athlete's information, but you personalize and send every email yourself from your own inbox. Coaches say they want to hear directly from the athlete, so ideally the athlete sends it, in their own words.
Not unless you turn it on. Profiles are private by default. When you turn on the public profile, anyone with the link can view it — it isn't listed or searchable on GritRecruit, and it's kept out of search-engine results. You can turn it off at any time and the link stops working.
Cancel any time from Pricing → Manage subscription. You keep access through the end of the period you've paid for. Monthly payments aren't refunded for the unused part of a month. The yearly plan is refundable within 14 days of the charge. See the Terms of Service for the full details.
