A real profile, not a form

Stats, highlights, bio, academics, and eligibility tracking in one place — everything a coach actually looks for.

Ready-to-send email templates

Templates built around what coaches say they actually want to see, pulling in your athlete's real stats and info automatically — you personalize and send.

Track every reply

One simple log of who you've contacted, what you sent, and what happened next — plus your target schools, follow-up reminders, and a cost tracker so nothing slips.

Also included free: an NCAA eligibility checklist, a target school list, highlight film links, a camp and showcase log, a cost tracker, and a shareable public profile page and PDF.

How it works: build a college recruiting profile in four steps

The organizing and tracking a recruiting service charges $3,000 for — a real profile, a target list, outreach, and tracking — free, and run by you. Scroll through an example below to see exactly what you'll be using.

Why not just pay a recruiting service?

Paid services aren't upfront about what they cost until you're already on the phone with them. Here's the actual difference.

GritRecruit

  • ✓$19/month, or free to try
  • ✓No sales calls, no pressure, sign up and go
  • ✓Cancel anytime, no long-term contract
  • ✓You and your family do the outreach, with the right tools

Typical paid recruiting service

  • –$2,000–$6,000+, disclosed only after a sales call
  • –High-pressure calls pushing you to decide fast
  • –Often a multi-year package, paid upfront
  • –Still mostly you and your family doing the outreach

Our story

Built by a parent who didn't recognize recruiting anymore

I started researching college recruiting for my daughter and was honestly blown away by how much there is to know ahead of time — eligibility rules, deadlines, what coaches actually want to see — and the costs are outrageous once you factor in camps, showcases, and paid recruiting services on top of it all. And most kids aren't five-star recruits with coaches lining up to call — they're in sports and situations where nobody's going to do this work for you, so you end up doing it yourself either way. That takes real grit — most families already have it, they just need better tools for it. I tried keeping it organized in spreadsheets and email, which fell apart fast, and even asking AI tools for help just got me a different answer every time. So I built GritRecruit to be the one place that keeps it all straight — for free.

Common questions

Is it really free?

Yes. The free plan includes 1 athlete profile, up to 2 target schools and 3 film clips per athlete, the full eligibility checklist, a public profile page and PDF, unlimited outreach logging and email templates, and the recruiting timeline and Guide.

Does GritRecruit send emails to coaches for me?

No. The templates are filled in with your athlete's information, but you personalize and send every email yourself from your own inbox. Coaches say they want to hear directly from the athlete, so ideally the athlete sends it, in their own words.

Is my athlete's profile public?

Not unless you turn it on. Profiles are private by default. When you turn on the public profile, anyone with the link can view it — it isn't listed or searchable on GritRecruit, and it's kept out of search-engine results. You can turn it off at any time and the link stops working.

How do I cancel, and can I get a refund?

Cancel any time from Pricing → Manage subscription. You keep access through the end of the period you've paid for. Monthly payments aren't refunded for the unused part of a month. The yearly plan is refundable within 14 days of the charge. See the Terms of Service for the full details.
