A free tool for parents running their athlete's college recruiting process themselves. You build a profile, keep a list of target schools and coaches, use ready-made email templates, and track every email and reply in one place — no recruiting service required.
No. The templates are filled in with your athlete's information, but you personalize and send every email yourself from your own inbox. Coaches say they want to hear directly from the athlete, so ideally the athlete sends it, in their own words.
GritRecruit helps you stay organized and put your best foot forward, but it can't promise a coach response, a roster spot, or a scholarship. Recruiting outcomes depend on the athlete, the coaches, and the fit.
Accounts are for parents or legal guardians (18 or older), or for an athlete who is 18 or older managing their own profile. GritRecruit is built for U.S. families recruiting to U.S. colleges, including NCAA and NAIA programs, in any sport.
No. GritRecruit is an independent, family-run tool and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the NCAA, the NAIA, or any college or conference.
Sign up, add your athlete's profile, add the schools you're interested in, then open Email templates to write to a coach. After you send an email from your own inbox, log it in the Tracker so you can see replies and follow-ups at a glance.
Yes. From the Dashboard you can create an invite link for a co-parent or guardian and send it to them yourself by text or email. They get full access to the same athletes, tracker, and tasks. Billing stays with the account owner.
The free plan includes 1 athlete profile. The Unlimited plan removes that limit. Note that deleting an athlete on the free plan doesn't open up a new slot — the limit is tied to your account.
No — you add video by link. Upload your clips to a site like YouTube, Hudl, or Vimeo, then paste the link into your athlete's profile or film section. This keeps GritRecruit free and puts your film where coaches already look.
Make sure anyone with the link can watch it. On YouTube, set the video to Unlisted (not Private). For Google Drive or Dropbox, set sharing to "Anyone with the link." A coach who hits a "request access" page will usually move on.
Not unless you turn it on. Profiles are private by default. When you turn on the public profile, anyone with the link can view it — it isn't listed or searchable on GritRecruit, and it's kept out of search-engine results. You can turn it off at any time and the link stops working.
The information you've added to the profile: name, sport, position, class year, stats, academics, bio, and film links, plus the NCAA ID and social handles if you entered them. Parent or guardian contact details and phone numbers stay hidden unless you switch them on, and the athlete's own phone and email are separate toggles.
Only you and anyone you invite to your household. Each family's data is walled off at the database level, so one account can't see another's.
Yes. The public profile page has a Download PDF button you can use to share a one-page version with coaches.
For Division I and II, yes — it needs to be on file before schools can officially recruit or offer. Division III and NAIA work differently. The Eligibility section of your athlete's profile walks through the steps, and the Guide tab explains the NCAA and NAIA differences. NCAA rules change, so always confirm current requirements on NCAA.org or with your school counselor.
It's the ID number you get when you register with the Eligibility Center. You can save it on your athlete's profile so coaches can look it up. GritRecruit can't verify it against the NCAA's database, so copy it directly from your Eligibility Center account.
Yes. The free plan includes 1 athlete profile, up to 2 target schools and 3 film clips per athlete, the full eligibility checklist, a public profile page and PDF, unlimited outreach logging and email templates, and the recruiting timeline and Guide.
Unlimited athlete profiles, target schools, and film clips, plus bulk import of a school list from a spreadsheet. It's $19/month, or $180/year if you pay for the year.
Cancel any time from Pricing → Manage subscription. You keep access through the end of the period you've paid for. Monthly payments aren't refunded for the unused part of a month. The yearly plan is refundable within 14 days of the charge. See the Terms of Service for the full details.
By Stripe. You enter your card on Stripe's secure checkout page — GritRecruit never sees or stores your card number.
Yes. Use the Export data button at the top of your dashboard to download a text backup of your profiles, schools, coaches, and tracker.
Use "Delete my account" at the bottom of your Dashboard. It permanently removes your athletes, schools, outreach log, tasks, and photos, and cancels any active subscription. It can't be undone.
